The ERP Support Analyst provides technical and business support services towards RYAM's Enterprise Business Application portfolio. Interacting with Business system End Users and IT ERP Project teams, this position assists in the development, implementation, and support of ERP and Manufacturing business systems, including ensuring applications are properly tested, IT Support documentation is developed and maintained, and Business system End Users are sufficiently educated on the use of the tools.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains system configuration, jobs, reports, test plans, and documentation and assist IT personnel and consultants in support of technical issues.
- Supports resolution of business system issues including analysis of the business process during the troubleshooting efforts
- Maintain business and process information systems including configuration, code, jobs, reports, test plans, and documentation and assists other IT personnel in support of technical issues
- Supports software revision and upgrading activities, including the development of test plans and execution and End User Testing coordination
- Works closely with less experienced members of the support team to take a methodical approach to debugging complex multi-step business processes and programs.
- Provides training to other members of IT on programming languages, skill sets, and release management.
- Ensures that systems and documentation are maintainable and meet life cycle process standards established by management.
- Reviews work completed by development teams and mentors them in good release management skills.
- Develops and executes transition plans for moving older and newly developed systems from the development team to the customer support team.
- Performs preventative maintenance on business systems.
- Monitor the progress of assigned tasks to ensure timelines are met in a ticketing system.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Undergraduate college degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience.
- 3 - 5 years related experience in information Systems development and/or support. Some experience should be in customer support, problem solving, or maintenance environment.
Experience in data warehouse development or SAP ABAP is a plus. - Excellent problem solving skills required. Familiarity with Excel, Access, Word and other Microsoft applications and experience with automated systems. Strong knowledge of
business and/or accounting principles. Excellent knowledge of computer systems and IT life cycle development. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interface
effectively with all levels of business unit management required. Knowledge of mill systems, forestry, and/or paper/pulp manufacturing environments is a plus.
