The Wealth, Investing and Retirement (WIRe) team has a deep understanding of how our clients engage with our products and services across the wealth spectrum. We translate needs into products that are simple, elegant and powerful, delivering the future of one bank, on one platform.
As a lead designer for BofA XD, you are
You are responsible for the highest level of UI and UX delivery of products, responsive and native, acting as "player/coach" across teams and projects. You drive the quality of design exploration and execution. You an influencer of vision and direction through rigor, evidence, value and impact. You lead by example in methods and UI, UX execution with mastery of the digital tool-suite and design language system. Role reports to XD Director.
You're a person who has (required skills)

  • 7+ years of UI and UX digital product design experience across both mobile and web
  • 2+ years in Wealth and Investing product space
  • An outstanding portfolio that exemplifies excellence in translating complex data into meaningful action and comprehensive results
  • Impeccable eye for detail
  • Experience directing and driving a design system across platforms
  • Ability to teach and mentor team members to achieve their best
  • Strong advocacy for the user in the context and balance of business and technology value
  • Demonstrated strength in translating design into business success
  • Project planning and management experience
  • Sketch, InVision, CS, for design specification as well as a dynamic range of prototyping and simulation tool expertise
  • Deep understanding and passion designing for accessibility
And you are a person who:
  • Thinks and acts upon multiple horizon levels (quick wins, medium and long-term)
  • Motivates through inspiration and inclusion
  • Collaborates and builds trust with design, product, and tech partners
  • Proactively seeks out and is on top of trends and patterns
  • Actively shapes and leads design team meetings and critiques, fostering an environment of open thinking and growth
  • Embraces the opportunity to build a design studio culture, virtual and on-site
You'll be better prepared if you have (desired skills)
  • Master's degree in design or related discipline
  • Deep experience in managed and self directed financial solutions
  • Mastery of directing human-centered design methodologies through the complexities of multi-channel service delivery
