Position Description

  • THIS POSITION CAN SIT REMOTELY**
The CBR Manager is responsible for the oversight and management of the credit bureau reporting support team. The CBR Support Team consists of Quality Assurance, Code Cross testing, Service Transfers, Bureau Reject reporting, Exception/Control reporting, 3 rd level dispute support, and additional miscellaneous processes and projects. The CBR Manager may also address issues, conduct root cause analysis and execute on plans for resolution of data discrepancies, working with peers and various lines of business and levels of management.

Essential Job Functions (include But Are Not Limited To)
  • Daily management of all processes
  • Weekly/monthly/quarterly trending and forecasting
  • Assist with audits, escalations
  • Quality Assurance Management
  • Employee coaching, mentoring and training
  • Assist in developing reports as needed, interrogate data to ensure accuracy and take action to resolve exceptions.
  • Responsible for working with other business units to ensure accuracy of data reported
  • Apply math skills to analyze data
  • Work closely with the disputes teams leaders for support needs
  • Establish and foster a work culture at all levels within the operation which is positive, collaborative, respectful, optimistic, and capable of driving long term operational sustainability.
  • Work with management to develop and implement new or revised processes and procedures to realize efficiencies.

Education And/or Experience

5+ years mortgage servicing experience (across multiple departments is desired).

4+ years management experience in mortgage servicing arena required (Default and/or credit reporting desired)

Credit Bureau reporting, (mortgage servicing) background a plus

3+ years Default mortgage servicing required

Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP's, And Other Excel Functions)

Familiar in criteria building and report creation.

Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently

Excellent critical thinking & problem solving

Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking

Fast learner, able to embrace new ideas and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Language Skills Ability to write report requests, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients & customers.

Basic mathematical skills

Reasoning Ability

Ability to carry out detailed written and/or verbal instructions. Ability to solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to define problems collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
