Kemper is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst for our offices in Birmingham, AL or Jacksonville, FL. The Business Systems Analyst 4 serves as an experienced Business Systems Analyst with a depth of expertise. Accountable for medium to large scale projects. Drives analysis of business proposals and serves as a subject matter expert for an application(s) within Kemper IT. Also, leads complex change management activities and supports application configuration. Coordinates productions activities such as triage, data analysis and product and compliance requests.

Position Responsibilities:

* Serve as an experienced Business Systems Analyst with a depth of expertise.
* Accountable for medium to large projects.
* Drives analysis and cost benefits of business proposals.
* Serve as a subject matter expert for an application(s) within Kemper IT.
* Research and develop functional design documents and align with technical design documents.
* Outline detailed application testing and support user acceptance testing.
* Serve as a subject matter expert within a specific scope.
* Lead complex change management activities; including:

i. Training (e.g., training plans and materials, training sessions).

ii. Documentation support (e.g., operational procedures, troubleshooting guides).

iii. Production readiness activities (e.g., war room, deployment support and checkout, customer support).
* Support application configuration.
* Lead analysis , design, implementation and testing of configuration
* Advanced knowledge of systems development lifecycle activities
* Maintains knowledge of business functionality and technical platforms as business climate and technology platforms evolve.
* Performs procedural duties within standardized practices, where applicable.
* Complies with and supports all corporate, department and security policies and procedures.
* Support high level estimation and design during Ideation.
* Provide oversight of small work requests.
* Mentors BSA group to improve overall level of performance
* Coordinate production activities such as:

a. Triage, troubleshooting

b. Data analysis (e.g., SQL / data analysis)

c. Product and compliance requests

Position Qualifications:

* 8+ Years of Experience
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
* Expert knowledge of insurance industry or a related financial services industry.
