POSITION SUMMARY:

Attend and effectively handle telephonic mediation hearings. Identify, maintain, track and log requested documentation for mortgage workout review. Communicate with investors, attorneys, borrowers and/or third parties throughout the process on loan modification decision, current status, options, timelines, and borrower obligations. Assist team members by sharing advanced knowledge of processes and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Answer inbound inquiries from borrowers/attorneys regarding status of loss mitigation, loan modification, short sale, DIL and FB plans.
* Conduct outbound calls to borrowers/attorneys to gain an understanding of the borrower's specific situation, to request additional documentation/information and to inform/notify borrowers/attorneys of decisions as they are made.
* Identify and request the appropriate documents required for loss mitigation review per investor guidelines.
* Access information on multiple systems to inform borrowers/attorneys of loan terms.
* Communicate and coordinate with multiple departments informing the borrowers/attorneys of current status, options, important dates, next steps and deadlines.
* Ensure necessary information and complete packages are received in a timely manner, maintained, tracked and logged into various servicing platforms. (i.e. SARA, DMM Portal)
* Work with attorneys and borrowers to get loan modifications signed and closed; to obtain broker information for short sale process; provide information to attorneys and borrowers as needed.
* Effectively work in a team environment in an effort to achieve team/volume goals and provide superior customer service.
* Escalates issues to Management when necessary to ensure quality service.
* Assist Mediation Specialists with strategy, direction and feedback as needed.
* Provides Corporate Appearance Supervisor with recommendations for training and/or coaching, if needed.
* Possess advanced analytical skills, ability to analyze problems and provide appropriate solutions.
* Monitor DMM Portal to ensure all borrower/attorney requests are handled promptly and deadlines are met.
* Assist with scheduling of mediations if requested by management.
* Assist with training more junior members of staff if requested by management.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university or associates degree from an accredited college or university plus a paralegal certificate; plus two years related experience in mortgage servicing.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

LPS, Sagent, DMM Portal, Excel, Microsoft Office, Outlook
