About Critter Camp Pet Lodge, Inc.:
We are a pet boarding, grooming and day care facility located in Trenton, just outside of Newberry, approximately 30 min from Gainesville.
Job Responsibilities:
This job requires you to do various different tasks on each shift, such as bathing, taking care of boarding pets, tending to day campers, receptionist work, etc. So, you will be wearing many different hats at any given time, and you will be required to multitask constantly. Must be 18 years of age or older.
DESCRIPTION for the BATHER part of the job:
Clip nails, dremel nails, clean ears, express anal glands, bathe, brush out, hand dry, de-shed, and do heavy lifting. (Prefer someone with bathing experience, but if you're willing to learn, then we can train you to do this.)
DESCRIPTION for the KENNEL ASSISTANT part of the job:
Cleaning indoor and outdoor kennels daily (sometimes multiple times per day), feeding, watering, medicating our 4-legged campers (dogs, cats and small pets), scooping up the outdoor play yards and litter pans, filling in holes, cleaning buckets, exercising/playing/interacting with our guests, and going above and beyond to take outstanding care of our campers at all times!
ADDITIONAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Need to be a responsible, punctual, friendly, team player that can multitask well, and will be patient/gentle with our 4-legged customers. Must be 18 years or older. Previous experience in a grooming facility, veterinary clinic, and/or pet care facility is preferred, but not required.
Will also be helping out at front desk, when needed, to check in/check out customers, answer phones, schedule appointments, take bookings, etc. Therefore, you must possess people skills.
Employees will be doing lots of daily cleaning, such as: dusting, sweeping/mopping floors, cleaning windows/glass doors, washing dishes, prepping food, emptying garbage, cleaning bathrooms, doing laundry, etc... Please note, at times you will be working by yourself, therefore, you must be self-motivated.
Applicants MUST be flexible with work schedule, because hours will ALWAYS vary. Often times you will be needed to stay past your scheduled shift. MUST be able to work weekends and holidays, since those are our busiest times.
This is a great job for anyone who truly loves all animals. However, since you're working with animals, it can be a very demanding job, because there is ALWAYS something that needs to be done. If you're a hard working person, who likes to stay constantly busy while at work, then maybe you're the person we're looking for!
This job is listed as a part time position with pay starting at $10/hour. However, raises may be given once training is completed, which will be based on job performance and/or animal experience. There may be the option for full time employment.
