Job Overview:

The Financial Analyst responsibilities include conducting full life cycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design. Financial analysts will develop analysis and reporting capabilities. They will also monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements on budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities:

• Develop customized reports from databases to extract and collect data according to client or management needs
• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
• Play a key role in budgeting and forecasting analysis.
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
• Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Generate metrics and develop actionable recommendations
• Present data in a way that is most meaningful and readily accessible to the business
• Collaborate with end users to gather report requirements and ensure proper testing and validation
• Provide support to end users on standardized and ad hoc reports
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
• Turn data into visual representations

Qualifications:

• Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
• Demonstrate outstanding communication skills to translate reporting requests in order to accurately meet the needs of the business
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets

Education/Experience:

• Bachelors degree in finance or related field
• 2+ years of financial analysis experience in an enterprise environment
• Strong knowledge of and experience with Microsoft products - Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Experience with databases - SQL Server Management Studio; ability to build and write queries
