Position Specific Description

Position supports technical aspects of wind turbine blade issues to meet PGD targets for equipment reliability and availability. Acts as technical liaison to individuals within and outside the organization with responsibility to act independently regarding technical matters pertaining blades and composite materials. Job may include planning, analysis, design and implementation support for modification and upgrade projects pertaining to wind turbine and equipment.

Position makes decisions and recommendations having significant impact on extensive engineering and related activities of company. Negotiates critical and controversial issues with top level engineers and officers of other organizations and companies.

Demonstrates a high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in planning, organizing, and guiding extensive engineering programs and activities of outstanding novelty and/or importance.

Capable of troubleshooting wind turbine blade, champions the quality process, design specialty tooling, and perform cost justifications. Responsible for one or more programs of such diversity and scope to be of critical importance to overall company objectives. Recognized as a subject matter expert.
