Job description

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

* Ensure that insurance coverage is pro-actively evaluated and in place for all assigned loans.
* Review loan documents to ensure compliance with insurance requirements.
* Locate documents as needed to complete a thorough insurance review (certificates of insurance, appraisal, flood certificates, property condition reports, etc.).
* Communicate insurance deficiencies and recommendations to Asset Managers. Prepare non-compliance letters as needed.
* Notify Asset Managers of pending cancellations to determine if force place coverage is necessary.
* Request forced place coverage from Master Servicer and update force place insurance spreadsheet.
* Update loan servicing database with current insurance information
* Post annual and monthly insurance premiums for escrowed loans.
* Confirm insurance premiums are paid and in force on non-escrowed loans.
* Order flood determinations.
* Utilize insurance reports to monitor renewals. Obtain proof of insurance from Master Servicer's website.
* Correspond by phone or email to the Master Servicer and/or insurance agent to request current EOI/COI.
* Review escrow analysis and provide feedback to Asset Managers.
* Maintain monthly insurance reports.
* Research real estate taxes for Specially Serviced loans.
* Setting up real estate tax details in LPAMS module and working with Master Servicers for monitoring and disbursing tax payments.
* Administer and track cash managed loans, by processing monthly waterfalls and reviewing property funding requests.
* Establish new Lockbox and Cash Management bank accounts with Master Servicers and Borrowers.
* Assume additional department workload occasionally, when other team members are absent.

Knowledge and Skills:

* Strong insurance background in Commercial lines for property coverages.
* Experience working with commercial loans and interpreting related legal documents.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/Word.
* Effective communication skills verbal and written, ability to prioritize, multi task, be detailed oriented and have strong analytical skills.
* Motivated, energetic, proactive, and a professional work ethic.
* Work independently and as a team player.

Education and Experience:

* College degree preferred but not required.
* 1 year related work experience in the loan servicing field and/or Commercial Lines Insurance experience a must.
