At Compass, we envision a world where the experience of selling or buying a home is simple and pleasant for everyone. Founded in 2012, Compass provides an end-to-end platform that empowers residential real estate agents to deliver exceptional service to their seller and buyer clients, all in service of our mission to help everyone find their place in the world.
Have you started on your escrow career path and are you ready to take it to the next level? Do you thrive in a team oriented environment where collaboration runs rampant, and learning happens every day? Do you take pride in helping to deliver an enjoyable and seamless home closing experience for your agent partners, buyers and sellers? Would you enjoy challenging the status quo of traditional title and escrow processes, and offering your clients a transparent, peace-of-mind experience guided by beautiful and easy to use technology? And, would you appreciate working for a company that has an award-winning Best Places to Work culture? Modus is the fastest growing Title and Escrow company in Washington, and we're expanding rapidly in Florida, too. We're also a technology startup where we are bringing the power of online tools to life to create transparent, easy-to-understand experiences for all parties involved in residential real estate closings. If you would be excited to change the way people think of the home closing experience and help grow and scale a rocket-ship business, we'd like to hear from you! Your day-to-day:
- Ensure a high quality customer and agent experience throughout the real estate closing process
- Effectively communicate in a timely and professional manner with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless, hassle-free, on-time closings
- Follow and provide feedback on company-established procedures and relevant compliance measures for all real estate transaction processes
- Own and manage critical stages of the escrow closing process including balancing files; clearing outstanding conditions; funding and disbursing files; ensuring bill codes and ledgers are accurately used; and post-close reconveyance
- Utilize applicable software systems like Modus, SoftPro and Zendesk to keep status of files and tasks up to date in real-time
- Collaborate across closing teams and with other escrow assistants to ensure consistency in process and practices
- At least two years of escrow experience as an assistant, notary or other relevant role
- Bilingual skills in Spanish are an added bonus
- Strong attention to detail: you are able to juggle, navigate and track multiple contracts at once
- A sense of ownership and thoroughness: you proactively follow up on action items to ensure that no balls are dropped, and that all critical milestones are met
- A flexible, can-do attitude: you can and will pivot as needed, you are excited to try new ways of doing things, and you look forward to sharing ideas to help us refine our recipe for success
- Your BUILDER mentality: you are excited about playing a role in building and growing a brand new company
- At least a high school diploma (or equivalent)
- Competitive compensation
- Equity ownership
- Medical, Dental and Vision coverage options
- 401(k) with traditional and ROTH investment options
- Generous PTO, Sick Leave, and Parental Leave policies - Transportation subsidies - Learning and Development opportunities (annual education stipend) Why Modus? Founded in 2018 Modus is the fastest growing title and escrow company in Washington state. Modus has rapidly grown to over 70 employees in WA. In late 2019, we expanded our footprint to St. Petersburg, FL, and now we're expanding further. Since launch we have facilitated over $1 Billion in residential purchase transactions, capturing 3X the market share of our competition, despite being newer to the game. With our current traction and trajectory, our sticky client base, and our incredible team and culture, it's clear that we're just getting started. We celebrate our diverse culture, and believe our commitment to inclusiveness helps us thrive. Modus is an equal opportunity employer, and we consider all candidates only on the basis of their qualifications and merit in relation to our business needs.
