Job description

The Financial Analyst I will report to the Senior Manager, Finance and be responsible for supporting the financial activities of the assigned. The Financial Analyst I is a key business partner for the Senior Manager, Finance as well Leadership. The Financial Analyst I will be a key liaison with the Center of Excellence as well as other functional business areas.


The Financial Analyst I will support the Senior Manager in overall financial management of the assigned locations to include financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as business case development and certain day to day tasks. The role will assist in providing financial support for business decisions.


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Assist in preparation and review of consolidated monthly and annual financial results.
  • Build and maintain relationships with functional business areas including Marketing, Credit & Collections, Operations, and other Auction Administrative functions to promote collaboration.
  • Have an ability to analyze large amounts of raw data, then repackage, simplify, and determine key takeaways from results.
  • Assist in analysis of trends and key variances and partner with Senior Manager and leadership to support improvement plans.
  • Assist in the preparation, review, and presentation of monthly forecasts and annual budgets.
  • Collaborate with internal customers and peers in developing reporting tools which appropriately solve the needs of the business and provide strategic support.
  • Perform certain day to day tasks and activities such as, but not limited to, disbursements, reconciliations, fee table review, and partnership with Accounts Payables and Posting& Procurement.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting preferred or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in a financial environment
  • Generally 1+ year of business experience, with a focus in financial planning, financial analysis, and/or financial reporting.
  • Detail-oriented, organized and possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions under the direction of management.
  • High level of proficiency in Excel and other MS Office software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally and build relationships with all levels of the organization.
  • Self-starter with flexibility and willingness to balance changing priorities and ability to work under tight deadlines.
