Responsible for analysis and support of the worldwide budget process, internal reporting function and forecast process. Specific responsibilities include monthly budget variance analysis, preparation & analysis of internal management reports and preparation & analysis of operating statistics.
Duties and Responsibilities
Budget & Forecasting
Provide analysis and support of the worldwide budget process. This includes the consolidation and analysis of financial information from various business units.
Maintain and develop various financial models and standard templates distributed for use during the planning process, ensuring quality, accuracy, and focused analytical review.
Prepare and review monthly budget variance reports by department and investigate significant or unusual variances for incorporation into quarterly forecasts.
Review and approve budgeted purchase orders for capital expenditures, as well operating expenses, to ensure compliance with approved budget(s).
Coordinate with company departments to assist in the logistics of a timely budget and forecast submission.
Internal/External Reporting
Prepare monthly financial and statistical reports, as well as develop procedural & reporting enhancements to the internal reporting function.
Consolidate financial statements for budget and forecast.
Prepare internal quarterly schedules to be used by SEC reporting group.
Financial Analysis
Prepare KPI and metric reports and communicate variances to budget/forecast.
Perform ad hoc projects as required.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or economics.
Must possess a minimum of one year of finance/accounting experience.
Demonstrate appropriate understanding / working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls and apply them.
Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; should be an intermediate to advanced user comfortable with multiple worksheet modeling, pivot tables, filters, lookup functions, and nested functions.
Must possess the ability to work with large amounts of data.
Must be detail oriented and possess excellent organizational skills.
Must possess excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
Must be able to handle multiple priorities and effectively meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements
Standing, walking, sitting, pushing/pulling, manual dexterity (writing, typing, handling), operation of automated equipment i.e., computer.
