Job Summary:
The Global Staff Accountant supports our shared service center and helps in the preparation and review of financial statements. In addition, Global Staff Accountant will be tasked with general accounting functions which include but are not limited to, AD HOC data reporting, journal entry preparation and account reconciliations. Role will also need to liaison with other accounting functions like Treasury, Tax, Cost Accounting and Accounts Payable along with affiliated Finance Directors to address and resolve accounting related issues.

Responsibilities:
Prepares and records journal entries with proper justification by compiling and analyzing account information and maintaining supporting documentation.

Find and use accounting data to identify accounting issues and discrepancies and collaborate with supervisor to identify solutions.

Make sure the completeness of all recurring accounting transactions is completed within the month.

Recording, maintenance, and analysis of fixed assets and deprecation.

Prepares monthly balance sheet reconciliations for review by management by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, resolving discrepancies.

Produce reconciliations and analysis associated with intercompany transactions.

Assist in month end closing and reporting procedures.

Assist with gathering schedules, necessary documentation, and supporting explanations needed for external audit preparation.

Performs various special projects as requested by Controller/Manager.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance from a four-year college or university is required.

Minimum 2 years of experience in General Accounting.

Knowledge of an ERP System, SAP S/4Hana preferred.

Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Must have knowledge of and be able to apply U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Ability to understand and work with foreign currency translation.

Ability to meet multiple deadlines and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Must have strong verbal and communication skills and demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with management and team members.

Must be able to work independently on assigned projects and responsibilities with limited supervision.

Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
