Job Summary:
The Product Development and Sourcing Coordinator will implement and optimize the global sourcing strategy, negotiate with suppliers and manage in-season production issues. The Product Development and Sourcing Coordinator will be involved in the sourcing, production, and product development processes from designer inception to distribution center. Additionally, he or she will own vendor allocation and be accountable for the quality of products by setting quality standards for fabrics (knit and woven), print qualities and embellishment techniques generating product consistency across the board.

Responsibilities:
Drive Calendar adherence to allow sourcing of quality products on time for launching of collections
Ensure on-time deliverables from cross-functional partners (product developers, designers, technical designers, project director, and suppliers)
Lead sourcing strategies that maximize profitability and minimize risk with a goal of year-over-year improvement across categories
Analyze the process to identify improvement opportunities and to drive efficiencies
Ensure suppliers comply with company policies and standard operating procedures relative to sourcing, product development, and production
Work with the Monat Gear Project Director to drive IMU (initial markup) and AUC (actual unit cost) to achieve department goals
Engage with supplier community continuously
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Product Development, or Product Design
3+ years' experience in apparel product development, global sourcing and production experience including costing and vendor management processes
Strong understanding of vendor operations, safety, compliance, creative and product development processes
Technical knowledge of fabrics, finishing, printing, dying
Advanced knowledge of Supply Chain
Knowledge of Incoterms
Analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong sense of urgency
Strong soft skills working collaboratively with cross functional partnerships
Strong time management skills
Ability to resolve conflicts easily and with minimal noise while protecting cross-functional partnerships
Strong communication and presentation skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), Outlook, and Google Sheets. SAP knowledge will be considered a big plus
