Job description

Summary & Objective

The Technician, Materials Management provides support to the Coordinator, Materials Management. Serves as the courier for the facility.

Essential Functions

  • Provides courier duties including but not limited to transport of paperwork, landscape materials, markers and crypt fronts for engraving.
  • Supply gasoline to cemetery equipment, cars, trucks, lawn mowers, etc.
  • Distribute necessary supplies from gated stock area issue P.O. # to all departments as needed.
  • Log materials management invoices in computer system.

Other Duties

  • Provides orientation to new employees as needed.
  • Maintain your required license, certifications and mandatory skill updates.
  • Comply with all policies, local, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • May serve as an interim department leader depending on need.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 250+ pounds, walk, climb stair or ladders, stand on feet for extended periods of time, etc.

Knowledge & Experience Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Valid state of Florida Driver's license
  • Must have knowledge of computer office/clinical software
  • Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.
