Overview
This position will be responsible for the oversight of default processes at Lakeview Loan Servicing's Sub-servicer's. This person will work with the Lakeview Loan Servicing Senior Management team and other Lakview oversight personnel to insure that the Sub-servicers are adhering to Regulatory and Investor requirements. This person will work with Lakeview Sub-servicers and Lakeview analytics staff to develop inventory management reporting, and to identify Default Legal Vendor issues and to manage Default Legal Vendor performance across the Lakeview portfolio of Sub-servicers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Ensure Sub-servicers are managing the Lakeview default portfolio in compliance with regulatory and investor, and Lakeview guidelines.
- Supervise staff responsible for default Sub-servicer oversight
- Hold team meetings, monthly or more often, with Sub-servicers to review Compliance with regulatory and investor guidelines, performance of default legal vendors, and non-standard legal issues
- Make recommendations to Sub-servicer and Lakeview management for process improvements in the default legal and loss mitigation processes
- Share best practices with Sub-servicers across the Lakeview platform
- Compare performance of Sub-servicers and default vendors across the Lakeview platform
- Identify and report on issues arising in specific jurisdictions
- Identify data, document, and image issues which impact default operations, and work with Lakeview and Sub-servicer management teams to identify required remediation
- Provide insight and subject matter expertise to modeling and research personnel in Lakeview
- Attend monthly meetings with Key Investors to review Sub-servicer and Lakeview performance in default operations
- Support meetings with Regulators, investors, ratings agencies, and financing providers
- Support Regulator and Investor Audits of Lakeview
- Other duties as assigned.
- Detail-oriented & self-motivated with the ability to meet multiple time sensitive deadlines.
- Demonstrated proficiency of the Microsoft Office Suite including the ability to produce professional presentations and reports.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to reconcile advanced issues involving multiple variables in standardized or specialty situations.
- General knowledge of HUD/VA/USDA, FNMA, and FHLMC servicing and reporting, as well as federal/state guidelines.
- Detailed knowledge of the Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, and Loss Mitigation processes and Investor Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of default loan servicing experience within the mortgage servicing/mortgage banking industry
- Minimum of 4 years supervising staff in default loan servicing
- Strong managerial skills as demonstrated through previous supervisory/managerial role.
