We are looking for a Greenhouse Shipping Manager to provide ensure optimal productivity and safety of a 20-acre greenhouse in Mt Dora, FL.

. Requirements:

Job Duties:

• Supervises the packaging teams for all outbound production
• Ensures proper assorting, packaging and acts as final QC of Live Goods for end customer
• Manages the dock team in the proper loading and unloading of all inbound and outbound freight
• Manages all important documents such as ASNs, pick slips, bills of lading etc.
• Inspect labels, barcodes and other features of completed orders
• Supervise and lead subordinates (production assistants, forklift drivers, etc.)
• Collaborates with greenhouse managers, purchasing and other managers to optimize processes
• Researches and resolves issues regarding shipped orders
• Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies
• Report to management on activities and issues

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as shipping manager
• Solid knowledge of logistics procedures
• Computer savvy with excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel)
• Experience in directing and evaluating subordinates
• Experience in a Greenhouse or Horticulture setting desired
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Problem-solving abilities

Performance Requirements:

• Full Time

• Schedule may fluctuate based on departmental and period closing requirements.

• Observance of all company Policies and Procedures.

• Physical demands include light work, prolonged walking and/or standing along with the occasional exertion of up to 25lbs of force.
