Position Title: Preventative Maintenance

The Naples Grande Beach Resort now seeks a General Maintenance position to help continue the traditions established by our family of professional service providers. This inviting beach property sets the standard for treating guests and families to a service experience like none other in the Naples area. We pride ourselves on allowing our team members to be responsible for their own actions and guest interactions to create timeless memories, allowing our guests to experience all the resort has to offer including: our tranquil spa and hair/nail salon; incredible culinary delights; the largest guest rooms in southwest Florida and an unmatched level of service and attention from our world-class service providers from across the globe.

The General Maintenance position keeps both the front of the house and the heart of the house working so our guests have a seamless experience while staying at the Grande Beach Resort. They are responsible responding to all guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly manner; performing a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including but not limited to plumbing, HVAC and electrical work; execute all Preventive Maintenance tasks as assigned; keep tools and equipment clean, secure and in good working order and report any issues; any other duties as assigned.

The right candidate will have basic electrical and plumbing skills and have basic knowledge of mechanical systems; good communication skills, both written and verbal; able to maintain strict confidentiality; previous experience in hotel maintenance or engineering a plus; must be able to work the morning shift including weekends and holidays.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to work weekends and holidays with a varied schedule
• Ability to communicate with guests in a clear and professional manner; speak and read fluently in English
• Have basic electrical and plumbing skills and have basic knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems
• Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks with speed and accuracy
• Ability to work well in fast-paced and high-pressure environments
• Ability to be a team player and take initiative to achieve positive guest relations and maximize guest satisfaction.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Previous experience in hotel maintenance or engineering a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees
• Must be able to move in confined or elevated spaces as well as over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
• Must be able to move up and down stairs, service ramps and/or a ladder.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight

• Pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks while following appropriate safety procedures
