Responsibilities

As a Spiritual Care Counselor, you will promote the spiritual dimensions of Recovery Services through spiritual care services involving individual and group counseling, as well as patient and staff education.

• Provide spiritual guidance in order to educate patients, customers and staff members concerning the dynamics of Twelve Step spirituality.
• Facilitate group counseling services for selected patients to ensure that commonly held obstacles to spiritual growth are addressed with the benefit of peer support and feedback.
• Provide individual spiritual care and guidance in order to identify and address spiritual blocks to recovery while supporting and enhancing individual spiritual resources for growth.

Qualifications

Required

• Graduate Theological Education, resulting in a Master of Divinity (M.Div.), Master of Theology (Th.M., M.A.T) or Master of Pastoral Studies (M.A.P.) degree from a Theological School accredited by the Association of Theological Schools.
• 1 year full time experience in CD field or 1 year of Clinical Pastoral Education
• Minimum of 2 years freedom from chemical use problems.

Preferred

• Doctor of Ministry or Doctor of Theology degree
• 1 year Experience in Spiritual Care with Chemically Dependent people
