Responsibilities:
Report all activities and upcoming engagements on daily basis back to Battlefield Airmen Branch and BAO program manager and travel to program office as needed,

Liaise and coordinate regularly with Battlefield Airmen Branch Combat Control SMEs to ensure synergy with DACAS, Situational Awareness (SA) and VDL efforts,

Must continuously understand and address DoD and NATO policy issues associated with and/or impacting CAS and DACAS,

Support VDL Program as VDL and airborne networking SME to the ISR Innovations office and ISR Capabilities Office,

Support advocacy for funding sources with the ISR Task Force, SAF/AQI, HAF/A2R, and other HAF organizations for R&D, sustainment and procurement,

Serve as Air Force Special Operations Command focal point to industry on new capabilities, technologies and proposals related to CAS, DACAS and VDL capabilities in concert with BA Branch CCT SMEs,

Ensure industry representatives are in compliance with AF policies and guidance,

Advocate and present to military support organizations and conferences to expand understanding and adoption of DACAS, SA and VDL networking-inspired initiatives and programs,

Interface with all DoD special operations forces organizations and fighter, bomber and RPA organizations on DACAS, VDL and SA related integration issues,

Serve as Air Staff representative to allies and coalition Forces on issues relating to DACAS, SA, VDL and Airborne Networking,

Serve as SAF-IA technical representative on DACAS and VDL Foreign Military Sales (FMS) issues to Allied and Coalition Nations,

Serve as government representative to industry on DACAS and VDL requirements for FMS cases,

Coordinate and conduct testing of new DACAS, SA and VDL capabilities for military and Department of Homeland Security missions,

Seek and incorporate feedback from all dismounted operators in AOR to enhance effectiveness of fielded equipment, and

Maintain 7-level equivalent competency in JTAC-SEE knowledge and duties.

Qualifications:
The selected candidate must be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) who possesses at over 10 years of experience, firsthand knowledge and practical experience executing Close Air Support (CAS), Digitally Aided Close Air Support (DACAS) and employing Video Data Link (VDL) systems in combat. In addition, 4 years minimum of SOF/ Special Tactics experience.

Other Qualifications/Notes:

TS/SCI and CW/IJSTO Required.

Bachelor's degree is not required.

Air Traffic Control and Airfield Survey experience position (CCT) with JTAC qualification desired.
