2nd Shift, Warehouse Supervisor

Job description

Responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of distribution associates engaged in receiving, loading, transporting, stacking, picking, shipping, scheduling and maintaining the warehouse.

Essential Duties:

· Assist Warehouse Manager by identifying, documenting and implementing work procedures, preparing work schedules and motivating team members to accurately expedite the flow of goods through the warehouse.

· Maintain accurate Inventory and related transactions at multiple warehouse locations.

· Examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to customers policies.

· Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency in space utilization and worker output.

· Monitor pickers' and packers' productivity.

· Maintain accurate data integrity in SAP.

· Train and maintain staff on voice activated picking system.

· Assist in the coordination of all shipping related activities to meet or exceed customer demands.

· Assist team members with work process solutions.

· Ensure correct shipment of all customer orders.

· Responsible to train and develop warehouse staff.

· Provide forklift certification.

· Encourage and drive "Safety 1st "initiatives in all distribution activities.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• AA/AS preferred

• 3 - 5 years warehouse experience in a leadership capacity

• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule

• Working knowledge of inventory control systems, shipping and receiving practices, and efficient warehousing

• SAP proficient

• Self-starter and a team player that will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment

• Must possess the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally

• Lean trained
