JOB SUMMARY: The Financial Analyst analyzes financial data, compiles reports, provides recommendations based on data analysis, and assists leaders in the preparation of all business plans.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the preparation of all quarterly and annual business plans and FLASH reporting. Review and analyze data and provide recommendations for improved profitability.
• GMA maintenance on a monthly basis. Investigate variances in key cost areas and analyze data for trends. Provide detailed interpretations to leaders for further action.
• Preparation and updating of Offsite Budgets on a monthly basis.
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly fixed cost supplemental schedules. Provide variance explanations and work with department heads for eliminating negative variances.
• Prepare and maintain monthly cash flow schedules. Analyze information for trends and variances to prior period, and provide explanations to leaders for further action.
• Prepare weekly operations reports for distribution to Operating Team.
• Performs other analysis projects when needed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Certifications/Licenses

• BS in Finance or Accounting required

Experience

• 1-3 years experience in Finance or Accounting; Prior experience in homebuilding industry preferred

• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Work Requirements

• Must work 8-hour days (during core business hours) with flexibility for overtime when necessary
• Must conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to potential buyers, external business associates and coworkers to reinforce goodwill and profitability for the company.
