We are currently seeking a PBM Contracts, Rebates, and Guarantees Analyst. This is a fully remote/work from home position.
Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Southern Scripts' PBM Contracts, Rebates, and Guarantees Analyst is responsible for the complex business review of PBM Agreements (i.e., contracts, amendments, rebates) and completing assigned data entry tasks at the direction of the Chief Product Officer and as it pertains to the PBM Agreements in accordance with the policies and practices of Southern Scripts. The PBM Contracts, Rebates, and Guarantees Analyst will also:
Client Discount Guarantee Management
- Monitor and measure performance relative to pricing commitments made to clients
- Maintain accurate database of financial commitments
- Create and distribute internal guarantee tracking reports
- Provide clarity to the Executive team as to how much financial risk is present at any given time
- Devise solutions for when course corrections are necessary
- Provide recommendations to internal stakeholders for appropriate contractual and proposal language
- Engage with clients and consultants on guarantee results and audits
- Research pricing questions from both internal and external stakeholders
Pharmaceutical Rebate Analysis
- Track and report results for certain special case clients
- Communicate with internal stakeholders on rebate collection results, status, and future expectations
- Estimate rebate yields for new prospects
- Reconcile rebate payments to expectations, historical records, and contractual obligations
- Engage with clients and consultants on questions, results and audits
- Abide by all obligations under HIPAA related to Protected Health Information (PHI).
- If a HIPAA violation is discovered, whether individually or by another, you must report the violation to the Compliance Officer and/or Human Resources.
- Attend, complete, and demonstrate competency in all required HIPAA Training offered by the company.

- Requires income statement and ad hoc financial experience.
- Must possess excellent writing skills.
- Requires experience and proven analytical skills in Excel Spreadsheets.
- Prefer experience in healthcare, PBM, workers' compensation, and/or insurance industry.
Supervisory Responsibility
There is no supervisory responsibility with this position.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work- Full-time/Salaried/Exempt.
- Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the "core" work hours of 8:00AM to 5:00PM CT. We cover clients from West to East Coast, work times must be adjusted to cover meetings in all time zones. Ability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays pursuant with industry demands.
No travel expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree plus one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
