Job description

DRMP Inc.'s Corporate office is seeking an experienced Proposal Specialist to join their team. Combining creativity and strong communication, this person will be an essential player in DRMP's business initiatives.


The Proposal Specialist:

  • Works on standard/routine proposals independently.
  • Oversees proposal/presentation activities including collaborating with technical staff, managing schedules & deadlines, organizing and facilitating pursuit strategy meetings, and monitoring the progress of the proposal/presentation.
  • Supports business development initiatives including, but not limited to, project research, meeting attendance, and client communications support.
  • Strong writing, editing, organizational, and time management skills are required.


*The candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.


Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:


  • Takes a lead role in the development of proposals and presentation materials.
  • Works directly with technical staff to prepare proposal materials, including writing, editing, verifying and formatting proposal information.
  • Collaborates with technical staff and reviews/edits their narrative for content clarity, compliance, and key messages.
  • Ensures proposals and other marketing materials are accurate and well written.
  • Works with graphic design staff to plan and produce materials that effectively communicate DRMP's message.
  • Organizes and coaches technical staff in presentation rehearsals.
  • Participates in the maintenance of marketing information, such as project experience sheets, resumes, and credentials.
  • Responsible for tracking the progress of assigned opportunities in Deltek Vision.
  • Project research such as competition analysis, industry trends, etc.
  • Attend pre-proposal, selection committee, and/or debriefing meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related degree.
  • 3-5 years related experience, A/E/C experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking.
  • Ability to function in a team setting and provide and take direction from colleagues.
  • Ability to collaborate with a range of professionals.
  • Ability to assess problems and implement solutions.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe InDesign.
  • Can-do attitude, flexibility, and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven atmosphere.
  • Detailed oriented and excellent organizational skills
