Prospecting Internal Wholesaler

Position Summary

Assist the sales team in all administrative aspects of the sales process. This includes heavy phone contact, scheduling, processing expense reports, and research. Responsible for developing and expanding relationships with financial professionals in the CNL network of Investment Advisory Firms and Broker Dealers. This position will offer a flexible working arrangement (hybrid of office and remote working days).



Job Requirements:

Essential Job Functions

• Plan, schedule, and confirm appointments on behalf of the VP/IW via phone or email. Input marketing allocations into SalesForce.com for tracking purposes

• Study and comprehend the complexities of the securities industry, alternative investments, and private debt/equity markets

• Develop new and build upon existing relationships with financial professionals in the Broker Dealer network within their territory

• Grow CNL's market share within the territory through consultation with financial professionals on our products and seek referrals

• Making effective telephone presentations to prospective clients to solicit meetings for the sales team

• Maintain knowledge of our partners' business and market performance/position in order to provide guidance to financial professionals related to CNL distributed products

• Research and analyze quarterly/annual Reports, 10K, and other publicly filed information

• Comply with all rules and regulations of selling securities as outlined by FINRA and SEC as well as any internal guidelines established by CNL Securities Corp.

• Assist in managing VP calendar

• Send thank you notes, emails and quarterly promotional items to clients on behalf of the sales team and track in SalesForce.com

• Coordinate special events and assist advisors with details when they are planning events with VP

• Proactively work with the internal wholesalers to develop sales campaigns for conferences, market group events, large rep office meetings

• Focus support for ad hoc initiatives

• Provide back-up and support to the internal wholesalers

• Expand territories by searching broker dealer websites for new representatives


Additional Job Functions upon Successful Completion of Series 7

• Answer incoming sales calls

• Provide appropriate guidance to the financial professionals regarding the Company's operating results and business strategies

• Proactively educate financial professionals regarding CNL distributed products and benefits and make recommendations for their clients

• Respond to technical product and competitive positioning questions as appropriate

• Host client seminars, conferences and education forums for purposes of educating our financial professionals regarding CNL distributed products

• Strive to become a knowledgeable resource to the broker dealer network and internal associates on all aspects of the investment industry, competitors (direct and indirect), and products available in the market

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's degree required

• Previous sales experience and market/industry knowledge of financial services preferred

• Successful candidate must have a FINRA Series 7 and Series 63, or obtain within an identified period of time


Work Schedule:

• Full-time, exempt (40 hours) workdays during normal business hours

• Additional hours may be required during the peak work periods and projects

• Travel as required
