What Will I Be Doing?:
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will need to take initiative to get tasks done without being told, and be a team player who eagerly accept whatever task is brought to you. You will be responsible for the cleanliness of all kitchen facilities, equipment and service ware. As well as upholding and ensuring compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures. Some tasks that you will be required to do are: Properly cleaning and storing all china, silver, utensils, pots, pans, serving ware and other equipment, Performing sanitation duties such as mopping floors, cleaning work surfaces, emptying trash containers, sweeping floors, washing dishes, Setting up functions with ice, tables, chairs, utensils and other equipment as required and reporting equipment break downs and safety concerns to supervisor.
What Experience is Needed to Be Successful? :
Previous kitchen experience and Good communication skills, both written and oral are preferred for the position.
What are the Physical Requirements of the Job? :
As a Kitchen Assistant you must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, squat, climb, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull, and walk for prolonged periods. Be able to lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs. intermittently throughout a shift. And be able to work in extreme heat and/or cold. You may be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and fume hazards.
