JOB TITLE: MATERIALS PLANNER

DEPARTMENT: OPERATIONS

REPORTS TO: MATERIALS MANAGER

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Under limited supervision, responsible for determining the Master Production Plan, analyzing capacity constraints, generating orders, and working with production scheduler to determine the materials plan. Assesses and implements ERP complex techniques needed to: plan, schedule, control, measure and evaluate the effectiveness of production operations. Handles all planning of the production movements through the manufacturing cycle prior to manufacturing beginning including process flow, equipment capacity and resources.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Capable of analyzing complex schedules.
• Responsible for translating demand/requirements from Sales /Marketing into Supply Chain requirements to ensure stable supply of material to commercial organization.
• Responsible for end-to-end supply of specific product from manufacturing, assembly through commercial release.
• Develops Production Plan for all products. Manages all sku's related to the Production Plan from subcomponents through packaged finished goods.
• Assists in generation and maintenance of production orders within in ERP in alignment with the production plans.
• Conducts capacity analysis when generating the production plan to ensure the plan is achievable. Troubleshoots potential capacity issues on an ongoing basis. Analyzes reports and makes recommendations in support of production demands.
• Responsible for operation statistics and metrics, root cause analysis and problem solving.
• Responsible for communication with manufacturing departments and customer service to coordinate and communicate delivery of production orders.
• Partners with Purchasing, Warehouse and third-party suppliers to gain support for production plan as well as other key stakeholders within the site. Must be able to communicate and work well with cross functional partners
• Communicates with management on production progress. Makes and communicates production plan adjustments as necessary. Provides other support to production and management as required.

Inventory Level management, including but not limited to safety stock setting and backorder/backlog management.
• Responsible for completing all training requirements and maintaining 100% compliance with all assignments.
• Responsible for maintaining work areas and performing job functions in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Batch Record instructions.
• Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws.
• Responsible for performing additional related duties as assigned.
