Buyer Job Duties Include:

• Serve as liaison between vendors and users and resolve complex delivery, quality or other related problems with purchases and invoices to meet customer expectations, both internal and external
• Obtain prior approval for purchases more than established limits, and expedite orders as necessary
• Update project plans and purchasing systems; review and analyze requisitions and supply plans for domestic and purchases
• Negotiate prices, terms, and quality requirements
• Prepare requests for quotes and assist in the development of new supply sources; evaluate market conditions
• Perform value analysis to identify cost improvements
• Work to achieve purchasing/business segment KPIs.

Buyer Job Requirements:

• At least 1 year experience as a Buyer in a similar environment
• SAP experience preferred. Candidates with a strong purchasing background and similar business enterprise database experience will also be considered
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Experience handling high volume purchasing requisitions
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with external vendors, internal customers, and the procurement team
• Experience in the Microsoft Office suite is necessary
• A Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
