Job Summary
The Public Relations Account Manager plays a critical role in the relationship between the client and the agency. As an Account Manager, you will work in an exciting and fast-paced environment where you'll be responsible for client relations, media relations and results for our global portfolio of clients in various industries from travel, real estate and management companies to CPG, healthcare and retail. You'll engage with national and regional reporters, producers and influencers through various channels of communication to generate consistent PR coverage. With lots of room for career growth and leadership opportunities, the goal-driven candidate will be able to participate in a wide variety of PR tactics. The AM will provide day-to-day client communication and manage the planning, development and execution of public relations initiatives in accordance with the client's objectives and budget. Travel is required.
Job Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day PR activities within approved plans and adhere to time schedules. Maintain strong and timely communication with clients to manage expectations and ensure the agency meets or exceeds client expectations. Develop a strong understanding of the client's business including, but not limited to the brand, products, competition, internal audience, external audience, goals and business objectives. Build effective media lists to target the correct individuals for pitching. Research media outlets and understand what they cover to develop creative story angles to secure publicity. Establish and maintain positive media relationships with print, TV, digital, podcast editors and producers, with daily pitching and securing local, regional and national media coverage. Develop strong understanding of agency systems, processes and expectations for effective public relations. Develop and implement effective business strategies, both independently and with other team members. Proactively address client challenges and agency solutions. Monitors daily, weekly and monthly performance and budgets. Provides timely updates to clients and the appropriate agency supervisor. Write effective plans, emails, memos, briefs and proposals as well as prepare and deliver presentations. Ability to conduct productive meetings and group discussions, lead task groups, prepare agendas and promote constructive dialogue.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree
Experience Requirements: 2-3 years experience in public relations
