Position Highlights
The IT Senior Business Analyst is an active thought partner and application visionary who shapes technology demand among the business community. The incumbent has overall responsibility for establishing, managing and maintaining strategic relationships with external customers in one or more business segments; and regularly interacts with functional groups within the IT organization to communicate and clarify customer requirements.
Performs as liaison between enterprise and end-users, outside vendors, contractors, and consultants to define and establish service and support requirements. Investigates and resolves customer relationship problems. The Senior Business Analyst analyzes business, stakeholder, and functional requirements provided from the end users and supports strategic and operational initiatives and projects. The position partners with technology resources to translate the requirements into non-functional/technical specifications. The position, in partnership with internal and external teams, ensures all requirements are gathered, documented, approved and managed; and works closely with Moffitt leadership, clinicians, researchers, PMO and operational staff to ensure requirements are met through comprehensive solutions.
The Senior Business Analyst may participate in contract negotiation and administration; and analyzes and determines operational and financial impact of new product and service offerings. Proposes changes or solutions to products and services for optimal business results; assists in organization change management and functions as an internal consultant in analyzing business processes, assessing and defining customer specifications and requirements, proposing business solutions that prioritizes technology and services needs to satisfy customer requirements, and facilitating solution design, building and testing.
The Senior Business Analyst is also responsible for financial and performance reporting and analysis to include: benchmark comparisons, value realization tracking, cost and value (benefits realization) tracking, cost reduction opportunities, and other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This individual is responsible for working with appropriate IT and business leaders to develop and distribute artifacts for various governance councils.
Credentials and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
Minimum seven (7) years' experience analyzing and documenting business, stakeholder, functional and non-functional/technical requirements in support of strategic and/or operational initiatives and projects.
Develop, implement, monitor and report on key performance metrics; analyze and report on benchmark comparisons, value realization tracking, cost and value (benefits realization) tracking, cost reduction opportunities, and other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Ability to create compelling business cases with accurate cost and effort estimations
Demonstrates ability to work with internal teams across multiple departments, and with vendors.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create effective requirements documents and present to key project stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.
Strong ability in use of Microsoft Applications (PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Word, Excel)
