Position Summary
The Business Systems Analyst has the job responsibility to facilitate inter-company communications and help connect IT staff with company resources and leadership, interpreting the stakeholders business goals into specific deliverables. The Business Systems Analyst analyzes the flow of data and predicts what changes in infrastructure and tools will be necessary as the business grows. The role is to develop parameters for successful IT systems, oversee their operations and provide consultation on the kind of features or modifications that would best serve the companys strategic goals. The Business Systems Analyst reports to the VP of IT and is responsible for several specific tasks as outlined below and elaborated under responsibilities.
- Knowledge Management information organization and documentation
- Policy and Procedure Management documentation and refinement
- Project Management functional backlog refinement, tracking and reporting
- Change Management executing CAB related processes and documentation
- SLA Management metrics and reporting for insights-driven continuous improvements
- Vendor Management for suppliers of IT services, software, and hardware
- Asset Management process documentation, tool implementation and refinement
- Role and Access Management documentation and conduction of user access reviews
- Level 1 Support business application issue triage and remediation
Responsibilities
- Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvement based on industry trends and professional business knowledge
- Oversee and support IT Infrastructure and Operations projects from beginning to completion
- Build and maintain the product backlog, elaborate user stories for implementation, work with the Infrastructure team to ensure alignment toward the business vision and strategy
- Plan, organize, and facilitate user acceptance testing and adoption
- Provide production support issue triage and facilitate timely resolution, adhering to acceptable quality thresholds
- Improve training and operational procedures to increase efficiency and productivity
- Use a variety of data analysis and organization tools to discover the most impactful insights
- Create and present reports to team members and internal stakeholders to support recommendations
- Promote a collaborative working relationship with the team and stakeholders, participate in team meetings, share updates, and coordinate with other teams
- Conduct all business in accordance with Healthmap policies and procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelors degree, in computer science or related field is preferable
- 5+ years of experience in a systems analyst role
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and Atlassian (Jira, Service Management, Confluence, Insight and Access)
- Previous experience with a CMDB/ITAM tool
- Healthcare experience dealing with patient health information, HITRUST
- Proficiency with Windows and Mac operating systems
