Smile Brands, a three-time Glassdoor Best Place to Work, is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our team. As a Human Resources Manager, you will play a vital role within Smile Brands. This position will partner with field and/or department leadership on business decision related to employees and supporting all HR related activities. This position supports organizational growth, development, and succession planning; provides employee relations management; assists with the performance management process; and manages the execution of company-wide Human Resources initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
* Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations for specific employee training and development programs. Recommends new approaches, polices, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
* Coaches and consults with managers and employees on issues including performance management, terminations, career development, harassment, discrimination, FMLA and corrective action issues.
* Develops appropriate action plans to: mitigate business risks; create a productive working environment; improve retention, and continuously develop the people in the business.
* Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of employee relations issues and incidents.
* Supports training and development initiatives.
* Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
* Supports administration of the performance appraisal program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.
* Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards. Meets employees' and managers' needs with professionalism and courtesy.

Required Qualifications:

Required Skills

* 3+ years work experience in an HR Manager role supporting minimally 1,000 people from an HR leadership perspective in a multi-site/geographical environment
* Knowledge of federal and state laws regarding HR issues for the West Region
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organizational skills, and ability to adjust priorities rapidly
* Knowledge of organization development and coaching method

Preferred Skills

* Bachelor's or Master's degree
* Experience working with executive level individuals
* Ability to develop and support high-performing teams
