About the Position

VHB is seeking a Special Projects Manager for our Gulf Coast locations in Tampa and Sarasota, FL with experience in the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects in the Institutional and Real Estate Market Sectors.

Successful candidates will have deep client relationships and proven experience in pursuing, winning, and delivering Institutional and Real Estate projects within the Gulf Coast market region. In addition to the responsibilities, skills, and qualifications noted below, the candidate must demonstrate an acumen for strategic thinking, business development, professional networking, have a proactive approach, and experience with developing and maintaining key client and teaming partner relationships. In addition, the successful candidate must have experience in managing and growing successful multi-disciplinary delivery teams.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage relationships with targeted institutional and real estate clients to grow client base and revenue

Develop new project opportunities and manage strategic proposal preparation; serve as pursuit champion on targeted pursuits

Serve as a Special Projects Manager and drive strategy on the entitlement process and delivery of multi-disciplinary projects

Develop, manage, and mentor delivery teams to drive quality and timely delivery of projects. Monitor project financial performance

Lead meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, consultants, and stakeholders to understand and address project needs and permitting and design requirements

Supervise delivery team activities through all phases of the project lifecycle

Actively participate in professional organizations that promote relationships with Institutional and Real Estate clients, targets, and teaming partners

Understanding of policy directives and their impacts on the institutional and real estate markets

Strong leadership skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in planning, civil engineering, environmental sciences, or related degree

5 years of experience in managing complex institutional and/or real estate development projects

Experience in Tampa and Sarasota required; experience in other Southwest Florida locations preferred
