Procurement Category Management Specialist

Position Summary
Responsible for managing and executing purchasing activities within the assigned local category team. Responsible for sourcing, supplier management and Business Partner engagement with research, analysis and communication. Develop the ability to understand and actively apply and implement key actions within Nestlé's 7-Step Strategic Sourcing Process in the North American market.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following
• Consolidation and rationalization of market spend to the highest practical category level across Nestlé North America Business Units
• Engages with the collection and review all current local and regional contracts and price agreements
• Distribute supplier and business data and contact list requests to gather core/key business requirements/needs and follow-up with any queries
• Work with Category managers and Nestlé Global Business Services to prepare and execute the Request for Proposals
• Supports the management of Frame and Child contracts in the Contract Life Management tool based on annual volumes by material/plant based on the coverage model
• Ensure supply by continued development of incumbent and new supply options on an ongoing basis
• Financial support for Budget, Price Forecasting and other financial activities
• Contributes to the yearly budget process, including Market Business Strategy and First Look requests, according to the financial cycle established
• Assists with providing monthly price forecast
• Interface and work with Functional Leadership Teams within the Nestlé Organization
• Support the management of supplier quality compliance at a category level
• Assists with the delivery of innovation, exclusivity and first market opportunities to functional areas
• Assist with communication to the Business Partners of the Category Strategy to secure business partner approvals
• Deliver value through cost and process improvement initiatives to multiple Business Units
• Ensure Supply, Responsible Sourcing and Supplier Relationship Management
• Involved in the discovery and delivery of alternate sources of supplier ensuring business continuity and sustainability while minimizing business risk
• Partner with Category Managers to engage suppliers to conduct Responsible Sourcing audits based on established guidelines and objectives
• Supports the execution and management of the Supplier Relationship Management program to deliver additional value to the business units
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics/Transportation or another applicable field required
SAP, Ariba and I-Nexus experience preferred
Skills
Proven ability to analyze and present findings in a clear and cohesive manner
Ability to work independently to identify and research relevant market, industry, and supplier information
Capable of navigating through ambiguous situations and managing external vendor relationships
Ability to work collaboratively and support multiple sourcing initiatives
Willing and able to provide support to RFI and RFP preparation, execution and analysis
