Job Summary

Property Claims Manager provides leadership to the claims department and should be familiar with estimating systems and should have a strong background in personal property coverage and policy. A results-oriented professional with strong investigative skills with the ability to deliver quality claims service and should have a proven track record of building and managing a quality claims staff. Be familiar with techniques to gauge and manage performance and results. Well versed in current case law, statutory law, DOI regulations, etc. that apply to claims practices and issues within the territory of operation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following:

• Manage supervisors and staff Claim Representatives on the handling of claims
• Manage Vendors and IA's
• Train, manage, evaluate and develop assigned staff
• Monitor workloads and work quality
• Effectively communicate with staff, management and both internal and external customers
• Will carry a pending of the largest/most complex losses received.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of property claims management experience
• Strong technical claim handling and management skills Excellent leadership skills of a multifaceted team.
• CAT experience is essential.
• Excellent communicator both verbally and in the written form.
• Able to interact professionally and effectively with executive level management
• Qualified Manager license or ability to acquire such license within 3 months of hire.
