Transcendent Electra Management is looking for an Asset Management Analyst / Associate to be based out of Bay Harbor Islands, FL!
The Asset Management Analyst / Associate will report directly to the Head of Asset Management and work closely with the Asset Management team, as well as company leadership and institutional investment firms in the day-to-day management of Transcendent Electra Management (TEM)'s single-family real estate investment portfolio. This individual should have a blend of residential asset management experience and exceptional due diligence capabilities for new portfolio acquisitions. Strong analytic capabilities and leadership skills are key desired attributes. This role is based in TEM's office located in Miami, Florida.
Transcendent Electra is a diversified private equity investment and management firm focusing on for-rent single-family and attached townhomes throughout the Southeast and Southwest U.S.
Leveraging decades of experience in developing, acquiring, and repositioning residential assets, the firm brings an educated approach to satisfying the rising need for budget-friendly single-family housing in key markets and providing attractive risk-adjusted returns for investors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist senior asset management team with:
Preparation of all internal and external reporting for key internal / external stakeholders, investors, and lenders, to be prepared on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis; as well as ad-hoc requests
Support investor requests concerning due diligence items and other investment information
Compile and review monthly reporting packages and cash flow distributions / contributions, evaluate variances, accuracy, and collaborate with accounting to resolve discrepancies
Assist with preparation of monthly deal distributions and capital calls to and from investors / lenders
Prepare detailed financial analyses of operating performance, leasing trends, submarket analytics, and competitive property analysis
Maintain TEM's reputation, relationships, and efficient information flow between asset management team, acquisition team, executives, joint venture partners, investors, and other external parties
Develop industry knowledge and relationships, commanding a general overall understanding of the market and submarket dynamics
Participate in weekly operational calls with investors to discuss portfolio updates, asset strategy, asset performance, leasing trends and other business matters.
Track and report operating KPIs and report key issues to the portfolio manager.
Analyze and monitor multiple deal projections and assist the Asset Management team with revenue and expense forecasts, budgets, cash flow preparations and projections, and monthly variance analyses.
Support the oversight and management of prospective investment pools, including:
Prepare community analyses to support underwriting and business plans.
Assist in preparing and drafting committee memos
Support dispositions activities by preparing the asset for sale, drafting the committee recommendation, interfacing with the disposition team, and supporting the overall due diligence and closing processes.
Research market data to assess trends and alert leadership to potential risks and opportunities.
Support quarterly asset valuation reviews and follow-up on discrepancies or inconsistencies.
At the direction of management, support development of strategic business plans and property operating budgets.
Provided sufficient bandwidth, assist the Acquisition Team in the overall underwriting, committee recommendation drafting, due diligence, and asset management transition processes, as needed for acquisitions and new developments.
Conduct thorough market research to validate asset acquisition or new development underwriting.

DESIRED SKILLS
Advanced Excel Skills (e.g., Financial Modeling, Advanced Formulas (Index Match, Nested If-Statements, etc.)
Working knowledge of real estate asset types, and/or residential acquisition, construction and development is necessary.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required, while familiarity of standard industry software applications (e.g., YARDI) is considered a plus.
High proficiency with valuation modeling and techniques.
Excellent business judgment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Effective communicator and team player.
Ability to engage directly with senior members and demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication.

EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university is required, preferably specializing in Real Estate, Finance, or other STEM fields
Minimum of 5 years' experience in finance; real estate and/or single-family strongly preferred
Previous experience in a combination of private equity financial services, management consulting and/or investment banking experience highly desirable
General understanding of debt and private equity valuations; understanding of various investment fund structure
Background & drug screening are a requirement.
