Being a member of the Information Technology business unit, the IT Vendor Management (IT-VM) serves as the first line of defense ensuring that IT vendor engagements align with DTCC's IT strategy. By driving service excellence, identifying cost savings, and mitigating risks IT-VM helps to improve value from vendors throughout the relationship lifecycle. IT-VM also provides mentorship to IT on third party engagement, vendor spend/cost, as well as managing partner relationships and communication. IT Vendor Management (IT-VM) serves as the first line of defense ensuring that IT vendor engagements align with DTCC's IT strategy. This role will partner with our Procurement, Finance, IT, and Third-Party Risk Management to develop and lead the IT vendor rationalization efforts. The role requires someone with hands-on experience in developing technical vendor strategy, operating & pricing models and handling a comprehensive relationship with a wide array of vendors.
This is a highly transparent role with the chance to create an immediate impact through technology vendor management (e.g. cost leverage, savings levers, performance improvements, innovation, escalation management), technical requirement reviews, vendor consolidations, and extensive cross-functional teamwork to implement vendor related processes & initiatives.
Your Primary Responsibilities:

Defines and oversees the execution of sophisticated vendor management and implementation strategy for a defined set of vendors.
Proactively develops effective business relationships with vendors, stakeholders, and key decision makers in order to meet or go above and beyond
Drives continuous improvement activities and implementations across functional areas.
Exercising saving levers through horizontal and vertical reviews in support of cost optimization.
Vendor segmentation and alignment to the IT and business strategies.
Carries out the monitoring of vendor performance and associated risk in conjunction with the Third-Party Risk Management team.
Support the execution of spend management and cost analysis.
Mitigates risk by following established procedures and supervising controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.

Your talents needed for success

Minimum of 7 years of related experience
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Should have experience with Microsoft Office and be an Excel super user
Power of BI experience
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
