Staff Accountant

SyndaverX is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their administrative team in their Tampa offices. This role will report to the President and will be responsible for Accounting and Payroll. The company will utilize Quickbooks Enterprise as their accounting system and will be implementing ADP Work Force Now as their payroll system. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience and be motivated to learn and further their skill sets. Prior experience with the implementation of accounting systems is a plus. Syndaver Labs was established over 10 years ago with the mission of creating ultra-high-fidelity medical simulation models and task trainers while relentlessly pursuing the universal replacement of live animals, cadavers, and real patients in medical device evaluation, clinical training and medical simulation. We continue to achieve this mission by producing cutting edge simulation models to hundreds of universities and teaching institutions around the world, saving animal lives that would otherwise serve this training purpose. Our production artists and seamstresses build cool products that are designed to educate people in order to save and extend human and animal lives.


SynDaverX was established in 2021 as the engineering and special projects unit, focusing on R&D and providing custom solutions for the medical device industry.


Duties & Responsibilities

· Maintaining the General Ledger daily (recording business transactions)

· Reconciling G/L accounts on a weekly basis

· Assisting with biweekly A/P check run

· Processing remote deposits for client check payments

· Assisting with A/R collections

· Assisting with Month End close

· Generating biweekly payroll batches for President to review

· Registering employer in different states as needed for payroll & franchise tax purposes

· Generating Ad Hoc Reports for financial analysis


Skills/Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting

· Five years of accounting experience required

· Quickbooks Enterprise and ADP experience highly preferred

· Detail oriented, with an emphasis on review and thoroughness

· High level of written and verbal communication skills

· Interpersonal skills


Compensation

· Annual salary ranging from $55,000 - $65,000 based on skills/qualifications

· Health benefits and 401(k) plan

· 12 days of PTO and 12 paid holidays (including Christmas week) per calendar year'
