Being a member of the Underwriting Team, the Underwriting Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate set up of these securities as well as execute all other operational tasks supported by the Underwriting department all while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. In addition to day to day operational processing, the Underwriting Specialist will contribute to a wide array of projects and initiatives which may include automation/product development, maintenance of policies and procedures and cross-training exercises among other possibilities.
Your Primary Responsibilities :
- Assess and prioritize the daily assigned workload to ensure accurate and timely completion of work.
- Review and process new issue eligibility requests for all sub issue types as well as all other operational tasks supported by the department.
- Understand the policies, procedures, systems and controls that govern and support the department.
- Ensures strict adherence to procedures and critical time frames in order to meet departmental benchmarks and processing deadlines.
- Cross-train with colleagues to build knowledgebase for self and the department.

- Minimum of 3 years of related experience required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
