Job description
Compensation: $52,000 - $70,000 (based on previous financial leadership experience)
Position Overview:
Responsible for the day-to-day service center operation and the training and supervision of service center employees in all areas of Credit Union services. Must be thoroughly familiar with all functions of the Credit Union with in-depth knowledge of the overall Credit Union policies and procedures. Responsible for the proper maintenance and upkeep of service center's physical facilities.
* Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the daily activities of the service center and overseeing teller operations. Activities include interviewing and listening, account opening, and underwriting, processing, and closing of loans. Additional activities are computer input, preparations for first and second mortgages, preparation of loans for recommendation to Lending Review Committee, discussion of denials with members.
* Responsible for directing and managing of all delivery system options efficiently and expediently within the service center to provide quality member service at all times.
* Manages personnel activities of staff. Hires, trains, motivates, coaches, appraises, and rewards assigned staff. Responds appropriately to employee complaints and issues. Responsible for advancement, mentoring and disciplinary matters of staff, and recommends termination when necessary (with input from the Vice President).
* Responsible for the progress of a service and sales culture within the service center and for attaining established goals.
* Responsible for promoting and coordinating products and services provided by CUSOs.
* Fosters All Team culture within the organization by providing open lines of communication and cooperation between all areas.
* Attends Credit Union and community events as appropriate during and outside of regular business hours.
* Assists Regional Vice President in the establishment of performance goals for the service center and for each team member, as appropriate. Guides staff in developing action plans to reach stated goals.
* Cultivates strong working relationships and builds trust among team members.
* Assists Regional Vice President with developing and implementing long term and short term business objectives. Interprets and implements management policies for the service center.
* Responsible for maintaining knowledge and understanding of current trends, laws, and issues affecting area of expertise. Attends conferences, courses, seminars, workshops, and meetings that will increase professional knowledge and be otherwise beneficial to the Credit Union. This includes, but is not limited to, completing annual BSA/AML Compliance Training and understanding employee's role in maintaining an effective BSA/AML compliance program, and completing FACT Act Red Flag training.

This position requires the employee to register as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) and obtain a unique identifier from the Registry before engaging in mortgage loan originator activities, to maintain and renew that registration on an annual basis, to update registration information with the Registry on a timely basis, and to provide that unique identifier to consumers as required by applicable SAFE Act regulations and Suncoast Credit Union policies and procedures.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Business or pursuing related study preferred and/or minimum 5 years financial management experience with good supervision record.
* Excellent organization, prioritization, analytical, and problem solving skills in order to effectively manage service center and attain goals set for service center.
* Extensive knowledge and understanding of Credit Union products, services, policies, and procedures, including mortgages, consumer loans and deposit products.
* Extensive knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance necessary to successfully perform job responsibilities. This includes, but is not limited to SAFE ACT and BSA/AML.
* Extensive knowledge and understanding of all Credit Union computer systems and software programs required to perform job duties.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills in order to interact professionally and effectively with all staff, members, the Board of Directors, vendors, government regulators and community leaders.
* Must exercise sound judgment and independent discretion in all areas of responsibility outlined above.
* Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
