Job Description

Summary:

The Finance Team Leader reports directly to the GNW FinanceLeader and will be a financial advisor to the leaders of the Supply Chain organization for GNW and a business partner to the K-C North America and K-C Professional Finance teams. As an integral member of the team, the individual will be responsible for influencing sound business decisions including business planning, financial forecasting, proactive analysis, and value creation to deliver on our profitable growth objectives. This position has four direct reports and is accountable for leading, coaching and developing the team.

Key customers include:
• Vice President - GNW Supply Chain

• Multiple leaders within GNW Supply Chain, including Mill Managers

• Cost Transformation Leaders (Supply Chain and R&E) across GNW

• Cost of Sales Finance leaders and team members for K-C North America and K-C Professionals

Key Responsibilities:

Overall ownership of GNW Cost of Sales (COS) & Distribution (DIST) Forecast Process & Governance, which entails leading a cross-business finance team managing the COS/DIST forecast and results, COS/DIST Anaplan model (cloud-based business planning platform), and other COS/DIST initiatives/processes.

The role will have 4 direct reports and will provide direct coaching and development to the Financial Analysts and Senior Financial Analysts supporting centralized COS/DIST for all GNW mills and partner business units (KCNA and KCP).

Key leader within GNW Value Creation working closely with cross-functional supply chain/R&E team leaders/members to drive and optimize cost savings for GNW. The role will partner the Supply Chain Cost Transformation to build a robust multi-year Cost Savings pipeline.

Leader on GNW Supply Chain initiatives. Leadership may include owning the project, working with a cross-functional co-owner, or coordinating execution across the finance team.

Provide management with financial advice and counsel on all pertinent business matters by supplying timely and meaningful financial analysis of actual performance, business plans, and other discrete projects.

Provide a source of business knowledge and problem-solving capabilities to assure sound analyses, recommendations, and actionable programs across a wide range of business or financial opportunities (strategy development/execution, cost transformation, cost to serve, inventory management).

Ensure application of efficient and effective financial and operating controls within the Corporation. Promote sound internal control programs and support the Corporation's requirement for strong central financial control by reporting, to the Assoc. Director, Finance - KCNA, whenever Corporate Financial Policies or instructions are not being followed or appear inappropriate, inadequate or out-of-date.

Education required/preferred:

  • BS Finance Related Field, MBA Preferred


Experience:
  • 7+ years proven and progressive experience in corporate finance
  • A proven track record of high performance
  • The incumbent must have a high degree of financial competence. Knowledge of the financial and business implications of general business practices is essential
  • Experience with management reporting, P&L and Analysis of change. Prior FP&A experience preferred
  • Experience applying LEAN principles and tools to enable effective problem solving preferred
