This role will support all R&A functions and sites and will include responsibility for complex problems and execution of complex transactions at the franchise level, ensuring consistency across teams' handling of processes, overseeing business partner relationship sustainment routines, acting as liaison with other Financial Institutions including representing the unit on industry-related conference calls, risk management process oversight including but not limited to SIAI oversight, governance routines, and collaborative efforts for risk related initiatives across sites including offshore team partnerships. The incumbent will also work closely with the Process Support Performance Leader (PSPL) ensuring coordination of efforts related to procedure governance reviews, new hire training and refresher education, initiating projects and alternatives to improve operations efficiency, identify and take ownership of process improvements. Additionally, the Operations Consultant will support overall unit health by working closely with the management team to understand business drivers and strategize to remediate declining unit performance.
Required Skills:
Must be able to effectively communicate and influence up, down and across the organization
Must be able to effectively represent R&A during large scale project meetings, operational incidents, project UAT, disaster recovery, process assessments
Leadership skills with demonstrated risk mindset
Project management experience, specifically experience with execution of project or timelines
Must have a thorough understanding of most R&A processes
Skilled in using MS Excel with proven experience using formulas and functions
Superior analytical and research skills
Must be nimble and able to multitask as business need requires
Self-directed, detail oriented and thorough
Must be able to complete deliverables which require coordination of efforts across entire leadership team
Must be able to lead without direct management authority
Desired Skills:
Previous experience in writing and updating procedures
Knowledge of end to end Check Operations processes
NCP certified
Understanding of applicable laws, rules and regulations for R&A
Previous experience or knowledge of financial center operations
