RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Atlanta, GA that is seeking to bring on an experienced Business Analyst. This team supports our client's main business application, and this role will be responsible for supporting multiple Scrum Teams. They operate on a standard 2 week sprint cycle and focus on application development and testing. The Business Analyst will also be responsible for interfacing with internal stakeholders and business leaders, so strong communication skills are a must. The Business Analyst will collaborate closely with development and QA teams ensuring optimum alignment. This role will also review test cases user stories, and test plans. Application development project experience is required.

Responsibilities of the Business Analyst include:
* Documenting detailed technical requirements for stories
* Works closely with key stakeholders within the US Business and across IT in order to deliver the agreed upon list of changes
* Holds requirements gathering sessions, captures meeting minutes, documents clear and concise requirements, follows up on action items and is accountable for requirements documentation
* Manages scope creep and clearly communicates with business stakeholders on feasibility and effort analysis
* Collaborates closely from within our Agile delivery teams, ensuring Development and QA are engaged to align on technical feasibility, understanding of requirements, and development activity
* Reviews test cases and test plans from the QA team, negotiates testing scope and timelines, triages defects raised
* Communicates regularly with business stakeholders, developers, and system testers to provide appropriate status and clarifications
* Develops extensive knowledge on key internal applications and acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for on-going changes

REQUIREMENTS:
* BA/BS degree; CS or CE degree preferred
* 2+ years of experience in working as an IT Business Analyst in an environment with challenging timeframes and deliverables
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated experience of working with senior stakeholders at all levels within and external to the business
* Creative, proactive, logical and innovative and will not just accept the status quo
* Highly results driven, with the energy and determination to succeed in a very fast paced environment where the pace of response and leadership is critical to success
* An independent thinker with the ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
* Experience working with distributed agile teams and relationship building with stakeholders who are also not located within the same geographical area
* Experience with exposure to the full delivery life cycle, from inception to acceptance and delivery
* Ability to combine -soft- influencing, persuasion and consultancy skills with -leadership- qualities that will encourage business leaders to positively respond to questions, inquires and requests to meet deadlines
* Diligent and passionate about achieving deadlines
* Experience working in Jira a plus
* Experience working in the insurance sector a plus
