SugarCRM is looking for a talented, energetic and driven individual to join our team as a Customer Business Development Representative. Supporting the North American sales team, you are responsible for reaching out to current clients and sparking interest in additional solutions offered by SugarCRM.

It is critical that the person in this role be a self-starter, strategic, and be willing to go above and beyond for customer satisfaction. Building relationships with contacts through phone calls and emails - including C-Suite level - comes naturally to you. You will work closely with customer success managers on identifying growth opportunities within existing customer base. This involves gathering key information to update the CRM system and assigning next steps for sales or marketing nurture paths.

Responsibilities:

    • Outreach to customer accounts using a mix of telephone calls, email, social selling, and other communication mediums.
    • Create a fantastic customer experience with a friendly attitude, compelling messaging, and consistent follow up.
    • Schedule appointments and demos for upsell and cross-sell opportunities into the existing customer base
    • Educate and develop leads to turn them into qualified opportunities.
    • Research accounts to understand their business, potential needs, enable effective follow up, and generate interest.
    • Successfully manage and overcome objections.
    • Build relationships and effectively communicate with Strategic Accounts Director, members of the CSM, Marketing, and management.
    • Stay current on the SugarCRM platform and solutions.
    • Actively look for opportunities to improve and optimize lead management.
    • Record information and maintain detailed and accurate records in the CRM system.


Qualifications:
    • At least one year experience outbound selling/demand generation
    • A proven track record of delivering sales results and exceeding goals
    • Experience with value-based selling highly preferred
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Professional, determined, and results oriented
    • Comfortable working with a very high throughput of leads and data flow
    • Positive attitude, team oriented, and a self-starter
    • Ability to accurately determine lead qualifications based upon established criteria
    • Comfortable learning key software applications
