Under the management of a Product Marketing Manager and in partnership with a copywriter, the Designer is responsible for creating simple, beautiful, visually exciting artifacts to describe the capabilities and features of homedepot.com to an internal stakeholder audience. This Designer will work with the strategy team to successfully translate concepts to visual expression. These artifacts are for an internal audience, and will include things such as tear sheets, one-pagers, PowerPoint presentations, infographics, mockups, and visual representations of text and numbers. The Designer will work with the entire strategy team to consolidate visuals from the IX org to maintain consistency in a way that adheres to strategy, help create reusable graphics and templates, and establish and maintain a governed library of approved visual assets for use by IX associates. Though not an external-facing role, the Designer should be aware of THD brand guidelines, and expect that visuals could be seen outside of the organization. MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 60% - Creation: -Drive the creation of original concepts that result in effective and compelling communication -Plans concept by studying information and materials -Illustrate concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts -Collaborate and concept content on deadlineObtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval -Prepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art -Present recommendations as appropriate to leadership and peers 30% - Data Management: -Manage and update Asset library 10% - Presentations: -Assist with business presentations to drive results NATURE AND SCOPE This position reports to the Sr. Manager Marketing. This position has 0 direct reports. ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Travel: Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time. Additional Environmental Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Additional Minimum Qualifications: Education Required:- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED. Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 years Physical Requirements: Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).
