Description

The Heavy Equipment Operator operates heavy equipment including front-end loader, packer truck, backhoe, reel mower and tractor with earthcavator, aerator, pulverizer, bush hog, woods mower, gang mower, or spray tank.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

* Takes the necessary precautions when working with hazardous chemicals and materials and power equipment.
* Uses personal protective equipment as required.
* Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* A high school diploma or equivalent.
* Two years of experience operating heavy equipment.
* A valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record.
* Some positions within this classification may require a CDL license.
* The ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop and twist.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Ability to manage small projects.
* Experience with commercial hardscape installation or repair.

NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
