Position Summary
J.M. Huber Corporation offers a paid internship program in the Atlanta headquarters to provide undergraduate students with opportunities to discover the manufacturing industry, gain real-world and cross-functional experience, and develop professional skills and networks.The Huber Engineered Materials Business Unit (HEM) will be hosting a Human Resources intern who willcontribute toa variety of HR areas that include Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Organizational Design, HR Communications, Compensation, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and Analytics while practicing the Huber Principles in all processes and procedures. This position will collaborate with the HEM Leadership Team, HEM Human Resources, and the Strategic Business Units and plant HRBPs within HEM. This position will report to the Human Resources Business Partner, with mentorship and guidance from Vice President of Human Resources.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Assisting in special HR related projects as required supporting HEM Business Unit initiatives.
- Participation in data collection efforts for projects that impact cross-functional departments and identifying and implementing improvements to existing processes to increase efficiency, productivity, and performance.
- Responsible for the accuracy and quality of work performed.
- Participate in TA and HR weekly team meetings
- Provide comprehensive report outs to senior leaders on assignments and other related projects.
- Additional responsibilities include supporting the global HR team with various administrative functions to increase the team's efficiency, productivity, and performance.
Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
- Currently actively pursuing a bachelors or master's degree in or related to Marketing, Human Resources, other Business, or Communications (required)
- Work experience and/or previous HR internship experience preferred
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills
- Extreme attention to detail and able to manage time effectively
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
Working Conditions
- Available to work 40 hours during the 10-week summer program (Focal Dates June 6 - August 12)
- Hybrid work arrangements in corporate office 2-4 days per week
