Marketing Communications Specialist


Position Description Overview

The Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for staying current with industry best practices and crafting captivating email, blog, and social media content for the company. The MCS will also manage and oversee the updating of various websites to provide a more user-friendly experience. In addition, this position will assist with strategy implementation, and critically analyze response data to enhance communications with BOLD prospects and partners.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with departments and staff to leverage the digital and social media space;
  • Developing content across social channels, which can include blog posts, press releases, newsletters, copy, photos and videos;
  • Assisting with BOLD brand and solutions websites and serve as secondary content administrator for those sites;
  • Supporting the implementation of digital marketing initiatives and evaluate their effectiveness, including addressing usability and navigational issues, search engine optimization and trend data; make recommendations for improvements;
  • Assisting with all email communications, including solicitations;
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of internal and external training documentation for BOLD's Knowledge Base
  • Leveraging measurement tools to provide progress and performance reports and critical insight while continually finding ways to improve on those metrics;
  • Working with various departments within BOLD to meet their specific needs and requirements while building and maintaining brand recognition and standards through consistency in design and blog/email/social management;
  • Participating in goal setting and assisting with the development, documentation and implementation of appropriate styles, procedures and protocols;
  • Assist with research and analyze market-wide performance of competitors and curate/suggest/carry out changes that could benefit/grow/improve company's performance and reputation.
  • Assisting with the design and production of printed communication pieces, as needed.
  • Assist with Tradeshow design, preparation, and implementation.
  • Other project management and departmental initiatives as needed.

Scope of Job

This is a supporting role for marketing initiatives and digital communications across all platforms. Responsibilities may change with company growth and more marketing campaigns are created. This position is in the forefront of assisting in creating and developing the company's marketing department and strategy.

Autonomy

Limited supervision once each project is created. This position will have the ability to work with a broad network of resources to complete tasks.

Job Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge in various marketing tool; MailChimp, WordPress, Adobe Suite, Social Media Platforms
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Detail Oriented with the Capability of Analyzing Data and Uncovering Areas of Strength and Improvement for BOLD Marketing Campaigns
  • Ability to Manage Multiple Short-Term and Long-Term Projects at the Same Time
