OSP Project Manager

Outside Plant Engineering and Construction is seeking a Project Manager II to join our Performance Ops and Tools organization. This resource will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of OSPC tool/solution implementation projects. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within budget and that all capabilities/requirements delivered function as expected. Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project. He or she will coordinate with resources from the Process team, the Requirements team, the Development team, the Change and Communications team, the Tools support team and OSPC Functional SMEs located both at corporate and in the field. In addition, this resource will be responsible for building strong boundary partner relationships to ensure that hand-offs and dependencies beyond OSPC are vetted and included in any tool delivery.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

· Deliver projects on time and within budget for all OSPC tools/solutions.

· Serve as a team lead with the ability to effectively coach and manage a team of 2-5 resources

· Financial Management and Budget tracking

· Support the OSPC Performance Ops/Tools leader in achieving the strategic outcome of the function through the successful delivery of projects.

· Managing the project pipeline to ensure appropriate PM/Resource assignments

· Facilitating the process of resource & cost estimates, project initiation, business process alignment/sessions, requirements sessions, UAT sessions, deployment and change activities and post implementation support.

· Support coordination of yearly investment planning across program owners within OSPC to plan for annual project activities.

· Coordination of separately funded project activities to support effective pipeline planning.

· Financial management and reporting on budget, actuals, run rate and other financial/program KPIs.

· Overseeing vendors who deliver projects or project deliverables.

· Identify, manage and resolve complex delivery related issues

· Manage, negotiate and resolve project risks effectively

· Able to work in a matrix environment, working closely with project sponsors, Process & Change Team, boundary partners, SMEs

· Team player - sets example for other project managers, business analysts and others to follow

· Create an open, honest, accountable and collaborative team environment

Qualifications:

Required Experience

• Good financial skills
• Good Organizational skills
• Proficient in Project Management
• Proven track record of delivering a collection of small, medium and large tool implementation projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education
• At least 2-5 years of business development, project delivery and client relationship management in a technology environment
• Good business acumen and ability to negotiate with business partners
• Able to put user experience central, as a key success criteria of project delivery

· Working experience capturing high level business requirements and decomposing them into user stories or specifications

· Facilitates meetings and presentations to senior leadership.

• Strong customer orientation and able to manage customer expectations
• Good executive presence, including communication and presentation skills

· Working experience communicating, writing, and presenting complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Initiates, builds and maintains productive customer relationships
• Flexibility

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $35.00 per hour
