Position
The AMS supports the team with various tasks to facilitate the establishment and maintenance of client accounts. The position requires in depth operational knowledge to implement the tasks associated with role in an efficient, accurate, and a positively effective manner towards the overall client experience. Client contact and follow up is required as necessary to implement the tasks associated with account opening and maintenance requests. The role also requires interface with internal operational contacts to stay informed on firm policies related to their essential duties as well as any changes to procedures or systems utilized to implement the essential duties of the role. The AMS will handle issues of account management, such as on-boarding new relationships and daily account activity. The AMS is responsible for prioritizing and completing daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual deliverables related to the specifics around account opening and maintenance for the advisors and relationship managers. The AMS must be able to reassess priorities as situations arise for multiple clients, and working within the service unit team, also be able to back-up and fill-in to balance workloads as needed.
Responsibilities
- Handle the operational aspect of opening new accounts including investment proposals and ensuring all aspects of the new account opening checklist are completed as appropriate.
- Process and manage account maintenance requests from relationship managers and advisors on the team.
- Resolve variety of account maintenance items that arise internally and communicate with firm operations as needed to ensure client accounts are maintained properly.
- Maintain accurate client data across the multiple systems used to implement account opening and maintenance.
- Maintain high standard of communication with clients and within the team including properly cc'ing relationship managers on client emails and entering client interaction records within CRM.
- Facilitate alternative investment subscription orders for new funds and maintenance items related to existing alternative investments.
- Respond to advisors, relationship managers, and/or clients requests regarding online access and items associated with RCM online.
- Assist advisors, relationship managers, and clients with retirement rollover requests or consolidation of assets through other transfer methods.
- Manage and respond to alerts related to account opening and maintenance as appropriate.
- Provide back up to cash management role as needed.
- Interact with firm operations as appropriate to ensure approvals associated with duties are delivered in a timely fashion.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of financial services experience required
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- FINRA Series 7; 63; or 66 licenses preferred
